Microcapsules with phase change materials (09 FR 37M3 3EY4)
A French university laboratory with R&D&I activities is willing to capitalize an innovation on aminoplastic membrane mono- & multi-nucleic microcapsules with at least two organic or inorganic components. The innovation deals with the microcapsules' structure & properties in itself, and with the formulation process as well. Companies, academics, R&D entities are sought for technical cooperation, manufacturing agreement and common EU projects (calls for proposals).

A French university laboratory with R&D&I activities is willing to capitalize its innovations and competences on microcapsules and microencapsulation process (The microcapsules containing at least two organic or inorganic compounds).
The innovation enables to produce microcapsules with amino plastic membranes, including phase change materials, having therefore new structures and enhanced thermal properties.
Traditionally, the textile materials are composed of composite materials aiming isolation; the phase change materials are used mainly in textile thanks to its thermal regulating properties as far as human is involved. To ease their impregnation into/on textiles, they have to be as small as possible and optimize their contact surface. Microcapsules are therefore the best choice for thermal transfer & isolation.
Innovative Aspects:
The materials containing at least two organic or inorganic compounds (of which one is phase change) enable to cover larger temperature frames than microcapsules with only one phase change material.
The innovation includes formulation processes of precipitated mononucleic and multinucleic microcapsules.
High ability of the laboratory for European and common project management, R&D knowledge well advanced on textile topics.
