The Automatic Transaction Machine (ATM) and Self-Service Machines Simulator, is a system for all kind of self-service machines (payment machines, bank books updating machines, information kiosks, parking payment machines, etc.), that lets the clients to increase and automate the applications for testings, creation of reports among other features of a real ATM device.
This innovative system, apart from complying with the most commonly market standards used in the financial sector as CEN/XFS/J/XFS and Xpeak, it can also adapt its simulated devices to proprietary interfaces in a short period of time.
The system is not only a tool orientated to final clients, who just needs to homologate their applications; the simulator is also for companies whose focus or business is to develop self-service applications.
Thanks to this technology, it is possible to execute -assisted and non assisted-predefined tests, by the recording of macros, getting reports with the results obtained.
Likewise, the simulator allows the users to interact with the financial devices of an ATM and to reproduce its different answers. The simulator is executed in the same situation in which a real ATM would be installed; it would receive the same screens and create the same answers to the client's (user of the simulator) actions.
Following this, for trying the applications in different circumstances that may occur in a real ATM, it is necessary to record those situations in order to automate the job involved, in the repetition of the tests depending on the application and its different answers.
Additionally, the system offers the possibility of creating different models of ATMs. That is: the user will be able to create his own models of ATM, specifying the devices and characteristics included (i.e.: motorized reader or passed through reader, number of dispenser holes, etc.); as well as its graphic location.
It is also possible to create different models for every device (for example readers which can record 3 tracks, recorders which record tracks 1 and 2, readers with or without chip, graphic printers or just text printers). Commands and their results will be simulated in every single case.
For the EMV simulation, the Spanish enterprise has developed in the system, the ability to connect with EMV simulators of level 2, which are based on standards ISO-7816 and ISO-14443. Besides, there exists the possibility of connecting it physically to a chip card reader in order to make tests with real cards.
Innovative Aspects:
Among other features, the simulator holds some benefits and innovative aspects as:
- Cost savings, due to the time dedicated for testings are reduced.
- Increase of the reliability of ATM/self-service machine applications, due to the capability of reproducing whatever hardware error.
- A solution totally independent of the system developed from the manufacturer of ATM or self-service machine.
Benefits:
> Execution of tests without hardware.> Is independent of the operating system.> Independency of the standards used (FEN/XFS, J/XFS, Xpeak).> Possibility of adaptation of the simulators to proprietary solutions.> Full EMV level 2 simulation.> Easily errors simulation.> Testing automation, reducing the human mistakes.> Creation a battery of tests and reports, that can be printed or exported to excel sheets.> Flexible product for other departments as training, marketing, helpdesk, etc.
Devices included:
> Magnetic and chip card readers/recorders.> Note's dispensers.> Coin's dispensers.> Envelope's dispensers.> Note's takers.> Coin's takers.> Receipt's printers.> Diary's printers.> Document's printers.> Pass book's printers (both sides).> Pin pads.> Stripe's readers.> Checking readers.> Operator's panels.> Switches and indicators.
