Using specially developed fabric production techniques, circular fabrics can be constructed in carbon or pre-oxidised carbon to produce net shaped performs for carbon brakes which can be quickly laid into moulds, speeding up production considerably.
There is little to no waste of raw materials, thus producing further savings over conventional lay-up. The raw material saving alone is at least 22% (usually much more) with low extra production costs compared to weaving.
