PS: FP7 Security Research Call 4 - Innovative artificial sniffer (10 IT 54V7 3IH7)
An Italian R&D service company is preparing a proposal for the FP7 Security Research Call 4.
The project aim is to develop and demonstrate an innovative artificial sniffer.
The consortium is looking for an European company already working in the security business as a system integrator and distributor and for an European Management Organization already managing a security checkpoint in at least one European airport that could be interested in participating as end user in the project.

The consortium is looking for:
a) an European company already working in the security business as a system integrator and distributor that could be interested in participating as end user in the project. The partner should be able to participate in the definition of the system requirement specification in a proactive way and to perform the system validation.
b) An European Research Center or a company, having the knowledge of "artificial noses".
This project refers to the integration in a one stop shop of different technologies for the detection of illegal substances and hidden persons, border control being closely linked to customs control of goods (this category comprises, inter alia, weapons, drugs, CBRNE, legal goods subject to duty, goods subject to import or export restrictions and those that fail to meet health and safety standards).
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The objective of the project is to develop and demonstrate an innovative artificial sniffer, able to detect in parallel a variety of possible illicit elements, with reliability, high speed of detection and identification, allowing fast threat assessment.
The partners should be able to participate in the definition of the system requirement specification in a proactive way, the development of the sensors and to perform the system validation.
