PS FP7 - Research for SMEs Call4: ROBELDAS - ROBotized ELDerly Assistant (10 IT 54V7 3IHI)
The purpose of the ROBELDAS project is to deploy a robot and wearable body sensor solution for the elderly health support in the domestic environment, sustained by a tailored ICT infrastructure (helpdesk & decision centre) to provide a comprehensive health support service to elderly people and to perform a continuous elderly surveillance.
The consortium is looking for a SME with a proven presence in the healthcare market willing to drive the project and for a medical partner.

The partner search is primarily directed to identify one candidate SME willing to drive the project and taking its coordination.
Such SME must have a proven presence in the healthcare public and/or private market and a strong will to develop the project concept and to deliver it as a product to its future customers as a valuable solution. The SME shall therefore bring solid numbers to justify the impact section of the proposal (market, economics, etc.).
The SME shall also ensure the harmonization of the ICT infrastructure (helpdesk & decision centre) with the local requirements and standards applicable in the healthcare sector.
The particular nature of the call "Research for the benefit of SMEs" has to be taken into consideration, where the SMEs receive the funding and must utilize most of it (about 90%) to compensate the activity of RTD performers, the SMEs being supposed to perform limited activity during the project but taking advantage from the ownership/licensing of the project results in the future market exploitation.
The research is also directed to find a medical partner, willing to support the project proposal with strong justifications about the validity of the ROBELDAS solution in providing the elderly and the healthcare organization with a clinically and economically viable support service.
