Resistant to erosion ligatures for silver and gold alloys. (10 RU 86FG 3IHQ)
A small enterprise from Kaliningrad, Russia, developed alloying species (ligatures) that provide alloys with a high erosion resistance and good manufacturability. The company is looking for partners for setting up a production of the alloying species and machines for casting silver and gold alloys.
Country: Russian Federation
Type: OFFER
Date: 23.08.2011
Ligatures are important special materials for the jewelry industry. They improve the technological properties of alloys of precious metals and enhance their erosion resistance through doping the base metal.
The company developed original ligatures for silver hallmark 925 and gold hallmark 585. They would provide a high manufacturability in smelting, casting, heat treatment and machining, due to the optimal physical and chemical characteristics. The company can produce ligatures under the customer specification, including the conditions of the customer's stamping and casting processes.
The proposed foundry machines implement centrifugal casting in vacuum with helium (He) and subsequent crystallization under pressure of inert gas argon (Ar).
The company proposes cooperation in production of alloys with improved properties and the casting machines for manufacturing silver and gold alloys on the basis of melting & casting technology and the properties of ligatures.
The company has a great experience favourable for designing new advanced ligatures demanded by the market. In the course of cooperation, the partner ideas can be implemented for further improving the characteristics of ligatures.
Innovative Aspects:
The ligatures are designed on the basis of the physical and chemical characteristics of metals and alloys, with account for their crystal lattice structure, the nature of interatomic links, specific heat of crystallization, the coefficient of thermal conductivity, the accumulation coefficient, the viscosity and thermal expansion coefficient.
Ligatures improve the technological properties of alloys of precious metals and improve their erosion resistance due to doping of the base metal.
