In production line, failure of motors, drives and other vital electromechanical devices can cause the production to stop. When the production line is disturbed, time dependent financial losses and drop in efficiency are observed. By using a monitoring system the exact location and the duration for fixing the disturbance can be detected. By using the outputs of the survey, cost effective optimizations can be realized.
A conveyor monitoring system combines predictive maintenance, with preventive measures to give the user maximum effectiveness and minimum downtime on the conveyor belt system, providing real time information on chain speed, drive amps, drive hours, air take up pressure, chain wear etc. The factory conveyor monitoring system also looks for parameter alarm and mail notification systems, which notifies before the problem occurs. As the monitor systems supplies multitudinous benefits, the cables of the installed system may inhibit the logistics, require additional safety measures, and compel supplementary maintenance due to cables being damage etc.
The monitoring systems are installed on the equipment to be monitored and are typically networked back to a central computer for data analysis and alarm annunciation. Because the machines may be in remote locations, where network infrastructure is not available, or on moving platforms, where hardwired network connectivity is not practical, wireless communications is a networking alternative that offers installation cost savings, quicker deployment and even improved reliability in certain situations.
Convenient factory wireless conveyor monitoring networks of the day are based on Wi-Fi technologies. However, the Turkish company, as an expert on telemetric applications including monitoring and well versed in sensor network technologies, has developed a factory conveyor monitoring system that operates via ISM (industrial, scientific and medical radio bands). The difference in operation provides tremendous reduction in operational costs.
The company is looking for potential partners for technical and financial co-operation. The company is also open to signing joint venture agreements.
Innovative Aspects:
Usually the related system is designed by Wi-Fi utilization; however, the Turkish company has designed it by ISM (industrial, scientific and medical radio bands). Therefore, operational costs are reduced. Apart from financial benefits the system also supplies operational convenience, as the own ISM band of the facility is used for the network the information can be conveyed to internet and the production line can be monitored anywhere there exist an internet connection. The main advantage supplied by the system being installed is that there exist no cable connections as the devices are connected to each other via wireless connection. Cables in the production area could cause safety problems, or the system could collapse due to technical disturbances happening at the cable connections. By using the developed wireless factory conveyor monitoring system these inconveniences are avoided. Also important to note that the regarded system is a tailored solution for each factory therefore unique for each premise, allowing to be easy to handle. Also important to note that the systems are preferred alarm systems for natural disaster cases. In case of an earthquake the cable system is likely to collapse due to the disturbance, however wireless connection would not be affected, making the system suitable for alarm and / or warning installations.
