An Italian company is looking for a partner capable of developing and implementing a technology designed to reclaim polluted land.
The technology is the result of a ten-year experience in planning waste treatments and in microwave plants.
The microwave plant has been developed to reclaim land from chemical and bacteriological agents. The equipment can be applied directly where the land has to be reclaimed.
The plant is based on an oven provided with ground-moving tools: the contaminated land is loaded continually and stripped from the polluted substances at a variable temperature. The polluted agents are captured and destroyed by a filtering system according to the agents treated (solvents or hydrocarbons, acids or ammonias; bacteria or viruses).
At the moment the plant is capable of reclaiming samples of places polluted by solvents (with or without chlorides), acid and basic hydrocarbons. The pilot plant available at the moment is made of stainless steel, supplied with adjustable microwaves between 2KW 2,45 GHz and it works both if vacuum-packed and under pressure.
The plant for the final neutralisation (at the end of the microwaves oven) is made up of:
- A firebox with oxygen or methane burner
- Biologic Abatement tower
- Water-soda abatement tower
- Variable-throw venturi nozzle
Innovative Aspects:
The plant developed would be able to clean 1 to 8 ton/h of contaminated land or sludge, or similar with an adsorbed power of 250 KW for furnace and 25 KW for abatement plant.
The plant would be installed on the land to be cleaned and after having cleaned the site installed on another site for another cleaning.
The microwave plant has been developed to reclaim land from chemical and bacteriological agents and the equipment can be applied directly where the land has to be reclaimed. With this machinery it is possible to clean nuclear sludge, land disposal sludge, hydroxide and so on.
