Bio-implant technology and methodology for treating children with tooth cysts (09 RU 86FG 3EV4)
A Russian university based in Samara developed a method for treating children' tooth cysts with the aid of bio-implants and a technology for their production. The method ensures a correct formation and orientation of second (permanent) teeth in the teeth line of children.
The University seeks partners for a licence agreement, technical co-operation (testing of new applications), manufacturing agreement, or commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Tooth cysts are rather frequent among children at the age from 7 to 12.
Nowadays, a surgical operation is the most radical method of tooth cysts treatment.
The proposed treatment method with aid of bio-implants allows to save a rudiment of permanent tooth, to speed up the formation of bone tissue and tooth eruption in a correct position in the teeth line, to prevent postoperative complications and to reduce the risk of infection. Bone tissue regeneration in great defect areas takes place in a short time.
Bio-implant material has no antigenic and immunogenic effects. Use of ultrasound in the technological process allows initial sterilization and production of implants with antimicrobe and fungicide action, with a tailored selection of drugs. Medicine action placed in bio-implant with aid of ultrasound produces a stable antiphlogistic effect. The proposed bio-implants are safe against infection and guarantee safety for patients.
The main idea of the technological process is careful ultrasound removal of marrow and lipids and minimum chemical reagent application.
The developed bio-implants exceed known synthetic and xenogenic implants.
The developers have 26-year experience in bioimplants creating, 42 scientific publications and 5 patents.
Innovative Aspects:
The innovation consists in application of low-frequency ultrasound for manufacturing bioimplants.
The developed method of tooth cysts treatment and technology of bioimplants provides always correct formation and orientation of second (permpanent) teeth in the teeth line of children.
