The company offers a process software that is developed for hospitals which have central sterilization units. This software contains all the process sterilization process, including, surgical tools washing, disinfecting, packaging, sterilizaton, sterile storage method. It also categorizes these data with high level protection methods.
The software uses special barcode technology with high temperature resistance. A barcode assigned to each surgical tool and tracks the steps of sterilization process. Furthermore, the barcode technology enables the system to retrieve and store the information on which circumstance the surgical tool is, by whom and with which machines the material is processed, sterilization date and expiration date.
Innovative Aspects:
Currently central sterilization units of hospitals implement their sterilization procedure with clerical methods, which are mainly printed forms and bookkeeping within the context of national standards. However, the context of the registration of these forms and books differs in each hospital.
On the other hand, this method takes too much time and it is not reliable. The offered software maintains the automation and the standardization of this process. In addition, the system manages the sterilization material inventory in order to avoid any collapse of the system. Surgical tool barcodes are also attached to patients' files. This information is stored in case a patient gets infection after a sugery.
