Multimedia Museum Guide for Mobiles (10 PT 65BN 3IBK)
A Portuguese SME has developed an integrated multimedia guide for mobile devices that provides a personalized experience when visiting a museum or other clutural heritage facilities. The guide can be used by normal PDA devices and provides its users with location based multimedia contents. The company is looking for partners for commercial agreements with technical cooperation.

Most of the guides used in museus are either audio or common text detailing a specific work of art of the exhibition specif information.
The developed guide uses RFID technology to do an automatic identification of any piece of art (painting, sculpture....)
The guide can be customized to include different contents like photos, audio and/or videos among others.
It is possible to easily add new interactive contents to the system in different languages. An on demand searching feature was also incorporated so that it is possible to access all multimedia content, independently of the user location
