A Turkish SME operates in IT sector, provides both consultancy services and innovative solutions. The company has developed a software application which is a speech recognition system combined with dictation software for Turkish language. It lets the computer to recognize speech and convert it to written documents. Currently the system operates in Turkish. The company is looking for technical cooperation in order to convert this system to operate in other languages especially English.

Speech recognition engine and dictation software combined operate on the basic principle of linguistic characters and phonetics of the language. At the current stage the software functions using Turkish language characters, vocabulary, phonetics and enunciation. The company is looking for technical cooperation with partners that would provide the technical phonetics modules of the English language so that the software is restructured entirely to operate in English language. The developed software will perform the task with very large vocabulary and continuous speech recognition and then convert the words being spoken by the user into written documents without necessitating pauses between words. The partner looked for should have the required technical support to provide an accurate version of the English language vocabulary, alternative pronunciations, syntax and daily phrases used in common daily conversations. Later different versions of this module can be created in different languages.
