Fuel cell based Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems (10 GB 43O3 3IG9)
A UK housing association seeks fuel cell based Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems for deployment in new and existing housing stock. The housing association is already a pioneer in deploying domestic fuel cell systems and has already undertaken the first live trials in the UK developing the critical risk assessments for the UK Health and Safety Executive, Fire Service and insurers. The association seeks technical cooperation with manufacturers wishing to conduct field trials.
Country: United Kingdom
Type: REQUEST
Date: 02.09.2010
The housing association has deployed fuel cell based CHP at several sites to date, including individual dwellings. As a consequence the housing association has acquired expertise in taking fuel cell systems out of the development laboratory and implementing them in the field.
The team has a broad experience of working with commercial organisations and research organisations and is able to shorten the time necessary for deploying new technologies, especially fuel cells and hydrogen. There is a test site available into which a fuel cell system can easily be installed.
The housing association is seeking innovative CHP systems suited to domestic applications and would require from a potential partner supply of product, training of an engineer in installation and operation.
