An inventor from the East of England is seeking expertise in microwave technology to develop a concept for a new domestic appliance. If successful the resulting product offers numerous attractive efficiencies over existing products, especially with regards to a reduction in energy use, and subsequent cost savings to the consumer. The product could have mass-market appeal.
In the first stage respondents are expected to work with the inventor to identify and evaluate available existing microwave technologies that could be utilised in this appliance.
In the second stage a prototype is envisaged that integrates the technology into the device and is validated with the inventor.
Responses are expected from academia or organisations with a track record of research and development in microwave technology.
